Conservation Planting for Wildlife Habitat Development

These plantings are especially valuable when converting cropland or pastureland into dedicated wildlife habitat across central Illinois. Each project carries a five‑year practice lifespan, with a target plant community designed to establish native species that will thrive for the full duration of the conservation plan. Contact Field & Feather to discuss your habitat goals and start planning your project.

Annual wildlife plantings (e.g., annual food plots) are not planted using this practice, but rather are planted using CPSs Upland Wildlife Habitat Management or Wetland Wildlife Habitat Management.
